Only a short while ago, everything started to change. Society hasn’t had time to handle what is happening yet, politics and law enforcement haven’t caught up and a large part of the general populace is still oblivious to what’s going on. They are born within the confines of the cities, on the fields of rural areas, underneath the trees of vast woods and in the desolation of the wilderness: the Empowered. All over the world, humans are discovering they have superpowers and one of them is determined to fight crime – tirelessly, determinedly and oftentimes mercilessly. He is Lacuna.

Chris is a rebellious teenager who discovers he has been gifted with superpowers. Impulsive and, at times, even reckless, his family soon starts to fear he is becoming a criminal as he starts to stay away from home for hours on end, but in reality Chris has adopted the identity of Lacuna in order to fight crime himself.
Our ‘hero’ is able to operate alone for several months, until he is abandoned by his family and comes across another Empowered for the first time… It is a meeting that will change his life forever.
